Altermagnet acts as a source of spin current for the first time

Summary: Electrical injection of pure spin currents from altermagnet into non-magnet verifies spin-splitter effect in 0-net-magnetization crystal lattices. Extracting spin currents along specific crystallographic axes without generating stray magnetic fields, combines ferromagnets' high-speed processing with antiferromagnets' non-interfering packing density. Robust physical mechanism to fabricate ultra-dense, non-volatile magnetic memory cells/ ultra-low-power logic architectures without magnetic cross-talk.
