Nanovortices created out of chaotic, turbulent, magnetic skyrmion shedding, for energy-efficient probabilistic/ neuromorphic computers

"100-nm spot where stable magnetic nanovortex (skyrmion) are generated by short electrical current pulses through spin-orbit torque... when electric current exceeds specific threshold, skyrmion temporarily disintegrates into highly disordered, turbulent pattern for several ns during which skyrmion shedding occurs... this temporary instability does not disrupt final outcome, as stable skyrmion still materializes at exact same location once pulse concludes, offering new possibilities for probabilistic computing"
