World's smallest pixel to date, 300 X 300 nm, for luminous miniature displays is orange; future: expand color range to RGB spectral range
"consists of OLED/ optical antennas... as bright as larger 5 X 5 μm conventional OLED pixel... enables high-resolution display (1920 x 1080 pixels) to fit onto 1 square mm area integrable into compact devices like arms of AR glasses projecting light onto lenses... miniaturizing caused uneven current distribution/ destructive filament formation short-circuiting pixel, overcome insulating antenna leaving only 200-nm circular opening, blocking current injections from edges/ corners... future: increase pixel's 1% efficiency"
