"2 light-emitting layers cuts light-emitting burden of each in half, reducing odds that 2 excitons merge... for surface plasmons to produce photons, exciton must attach itself to plasmon's surface, producing plasmon exciton polariton... adding carbon-based semiconductor thin layer onto shiny electrode helps excitons resonate with surface plasmons near both electrodes, encouraging attachment, producing blue PHOLED that can last as long and burn as bright as green one, in optical cavity pushing photons into deeper blue"
