"Flint Isothermal Energy Management System: flat aluminium sheet, sealed channels internal network... liquid within channels rapidly cycle evaporation/ condensation when exposed to temperature differentials, causing near-instantaneous heat transfer across surface... 5,000X more efficiently than copper, aluminium... roof cladding heat/ cool building... refrigeration shelves 8 - 30% less energy, improved temperature consistency.. EV battery at 25°C +/- 1°C... construction, refrigeration, and EV battery cooling"
Comment by email from Stephen Lester, director, Flint Isothermal:
We use the panel as a building cladding with PV bonded to the surface, which keeps the weather out. Heat from the PV panels is used for domestic hot water or in an absorption chiller reducing cooling load in summer. The PV panels generate electricity. The IsoMat was 2018 winner of the Game-Changer Award, for the technology with the greatest potential to have a revolutionary impact on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. As for having one for home that depends where in the world you are and is probably 12 - 18 months away.
