"semiconductor single-photon quantum dots illuminate quantum lights in secure long-distance quantum internet... demonstrated quantum communication between 2 cities via optical fiber of ∼79 km length... sender statically prepares single photons encrypted in polarization. receiver contains passive polarization decoder decrypting polarization states of received single photons, achieving stable/ fast transmission of secret keys... achievable for distances up to 144 km, 28.11 dB loss, for 35 hours"
