"to make acenes stable, added carbodicarbenes to acenes also doped with boron and nitrogen... acenes became positively charged improving stability in both air and water, enabling acenes of varying lengths (colors)... medical (where human tissue emits blue light so red emitters preferrred) and other imaging, LEDs, organic semiconductors, singlet-fission-based solar cells... future:  incorporating different types of carbodicarbenes creating additional acenes with even better stability and quantum efficiency"
