"Van Hove singularities, specific regions in material’s band structure where electrons cluster/ highly sensitive to changes in surroundings, acts as map showing where/ what speed electrons can move... manipulated fine-tuning material’s properties... Feynman-Hellmann theorem indicates Van Hove singularities occur at surface of strontium ruthenate due to slight rotations in material’s building blocks... applies also to other quantum materials... enables altering material’s electronic/ magnetic properties... may enable superconductors"
