"inserted dense alkali metal atoms between interlayers of single layer graphene carbon atoms arranged in hexagonal bilayer lattice... facilitates electron flow during charging and discharging, improving battery capacity... alkali metals densely packed due to flexible extension ability of their interlayer spacing... 2X as many alkali metals can be inserted... if graphene with two layers of alkali metal insertion can be stacked, it is expected to serve as an electrode material enhancing the capacity of alkaline ion secondary batteries"
